Why Bryophytes are called 'amphibians of plant kingdom' ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reason 1 => We know, Amphibians normally live in moist places . Similarly Bryophytes are also found in moist places because they don't have vascular fissures, so they need moist environment to prevent dessication.

Reason 2 => As in amphibians , water is essential for fertilisation . Similarly water is also required for fertilisation in Bryophytes.

Due to these reasons , Bryophytes are called amphibians of plant kingdom .
