Why CaF2 has higher melting point than CaCl2

Heya Buddy...

The main reason that CaF2 has a higher melting point as compared to CaCl2 because CaF2 is the most ionic compound due to which there is a very strong force of attraction between its bond

  • But cacl2 is less ionic as compared to CaF2 so there is small force of attraction and less melting point
