why calcium floats on water during reaction with water

Calcium starts floating because the bubbles of hydrogen gas which are formedduring the reaction stick to the surface of the metal and hence caclium floats on water.

When calcium reacts with water,Hydrogen is produced.The bubbles of hydrogen gas sticks to the surface of the matal,which makes it to float.
