when we press the sponge and releases it, sponge again takes it size because have tiny holes in it which have air.

Hey!

Sponge can be compressed though it is solid because sponge has holes in which air is trapped. If we press a sponge, the air is expelled out which and we are able to compress it.

It is solid because it has fixed shape and volume unless we apply force to compress it.
