cellulose is present in grass so they need cellulase to digest grass.bcoz they can't produce cellulase(enzyme to digest cellulosoe).they need help of symbiotic anaerobic bacteria called cellulomonas who produce cellulase.
hope this helps you ☺️

Ruminants have bacterium(cellulase) in their stomach which helps them to digest cellulose(a kind of glucose). Cellulose is present in grass and other plants. if that bacterium is not present so the digestion of cellulose will not take place.

thank you, may this help you.
