why can speed of a practical not be negative

Because if you see the formula for speed you will find that..
speed is directly proptional to Distance travel..

so come on the Distance.

Distance if the path length between any two points.

and the lenth between two points can't be less then 0, or can't be negative..
so,
speed also can't be negative.
