hey friend
your answer:
plants have a green pigment called chlorophyll in their leaves which gets activated in the presence of sunlight and with the help of water and carbon dioxide prepares the food.
but human beings don't have chlorophyll in them so they can't make their own food and are dependent (directly or indirectly)on plants.
if it helped
can u mark it brainliest?

Hey dear
Animals and humans can't make food from carbon dioxide and water in presence of light because they don't have the green pigment chlorophyll which captures solar radiation.
I hope this answer helps you.
