Why can't animals make their own food carbon dioxide like plants doo???

because a green pigment chlorophyll is not present in animals.

Because animals lack the green pigment chlorophyll which is required to make food.Plants have chlorophyll, so they make their own food and are called autotrophics. And animals are known as heterotrophics.
