Why can’t mitochondria be called the kitchen of the cell

Mitochondria cannot be called kitchen of cell because there work is to produce energy in the form of Adinosign Triphosphate ,which is needed for life functions of a cell. Leave have chloroplasts present in them which manufacturer food and that's why are called kitchen of a cell.
