because it has more concentration of mud than water.

Crisdela: RituB9 thanks for your answer. But my question was on muddy water. If it had been with Why can't mud be purified by decantation or filtration, then your answer would have been correct. This ans is correct for this question, not for the one U asked for.
Crisdela: Sorry I asked for.

muddy particles can't be separateed by decantation or filteration as it contains heavy particles of sand and soil .. they can be settled down and a clear solution of water is poured at the top ..

pls give it a brainliest ans

Crisdela: Thanks for your answer, but i really give it as the brainliest answer. Because see heavy particles like sand and soil can be settle down by sedimentation. And decantation isn't possible without sedimentation, so muddy water can be purified by decantation and filtration. And question said either that means both decantation and filtration are involved so it can be purified.
Crisdela: can't give it as brainliest ans!
Crisdela: This question is wrong, I found out later. I even clarified my doubts with many experts in science, teachers and even professors, so I found out this is the correct one!
