sound cannot travel in vacuum:
this can be explained as sound requires a medium to travel. it get this medium from the moving particles in solids , liquids and gases. but in the case of vacuum their is no particle present through which sound can travel. so sound is not able to travel through vacuum.

sound needs a medium to travel and in vaccum no medium is present... only light can travel through vaccum
