why can’t we have nails by its head on wood?

We cannot have nails by its head on wood because a nails head has more area than the the sharp end. Because of this the nails head has less pressure than the sharp end. Because of which we have to apply more force to insert the nail by its head on the wood. Inserting a nail by its sharp end will take less force and will have more pressure.
