Why can't we measure loudness? {Loudness of sound is measured in decibels (dB). This is actually a measure of intensity} please explain, thanks, this is a physics question, by mistake I asked in biology...

We can't measure loudness because the farther we are the less louder it is and it also depends on the temperature of the air so if there was a measurement of loudness it would be non scientific and it would not be correct
