Why can't we measure the temperature of chemicals using clinical thermometer...???

A clinical thermometer is different from a laboratory thermometer. This is because a laboratory thermometeris meant to measures immediatetemperature. Hence, after recording our body temperature, until we check it, the mercury will fall, thus not giving us an accurate reading.....

Answer → clinical thermometer is made up of mercury and as it has lowest melting point , it is used to show the readings or temperature of our body  and it us used to measure smaller range of temperature and it measures temperature only when it is in contact with our body and hence it cannot measure air temperature properly , it may give wrong values and clinical thermometer can be used for only clinical purposes because it is invented to do only such operations.Clinical thermometer does not have the ability to measure the temperature of air and its materials used do not support its use as a device to measure the temperature of air , for measuring the temperature of air there is a differnt device.
