Scattering of light

Explanation:

Since, fog is the suspension of water droplets in air. Often the fog is so dense that we are unable to see anything. It is termed as reduced visibility. This is due to the fact that water droplets scatters light rays when they fall on them. When light is scattered it is unable to reach us and as a result it reduces are vision.
