Why can't we use closed circular rings instead of split ring in DC motor? I know that split rings are used to reverse the direction of the current. But I want to know from the perspective of closed circular rings. So explain me what if I use closed circular rings?

Where, DC motor needs split rings which used to change the direction of current after every half rotation. Now if Slip Rings are used in DC motor than the coil of DC motor will have no rotation instead it will oscillate. Therefore Slip Rings are not suitable for DC motor.
