Hey there,
Since convex mirror has minifying power so it can capture a larger area and and a better image. If we would use concave mirror then the coverage would be very less.
PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST IF HELPFUL!!!

Hi !
We use convex mirrors as rear view mirror (wing mirror). This is because convex mirrors give virtual , erect and magnified image of the vehicles coming behind. As the vehicles appear small in the mirror, we are able to view a large area behind us .
But , if we use concave mirror , a highly enlarged of the vehicle ,that too inverted ) would come on the mirror. Hence, we won't be able to see all the vehicles behind us.
Hence, convex mirror is preferable as rear view mirrors.
Hope this helps you !
