Why can't we write C2H2 as CH ? If we can write Ca2O2 as CaO then why not hydrogencarbons? I had asked it earlier but not satisfied please answer

we cannot write c2h2 as CH because this doesn't show the number of atoms present in the molecule.
we can write calcium oxide as so because valencies are divided by the highest common factor whereas in hydrogencarbons their valencies are different.
