Tadpoles growing in iodine deficient waters fails to grow into frogs because as they(tadpoles)required sufficient iodine for their growth. This I conclude that tadpoles can't grows in iodine deficient water.

The tadpoles will not develop into adults if water is deficient in iodine because iodine helps to nourish the hormone thyroxine which stimulate the tadpole to grow as an adult frog.
