WE MEASURE ALL LENGTHS IN JUST ONE STANDARD UNIT OF LENGTH SUCH AS THE METRE, INSTEAD OF HAVING MULTIPLES AND SUBMULTIPLES for having different joins make estimation simple. So for ease we convert it to a kilometer or other bigger units.
