Why cannot a solid flow whereas a liquid can?​

Liquids flow because their particles are loosely bonded unlike in solids where particles are closely bonded. Molecules in solids are tightly compressed thus canonly vibrate but don't flow unless the bonds are broken down...

They are held tightly together by strong forces of attraction. solids have a definite shape and definite volume , but liquids have not a definite shape . so a liquid can flow but a solid cannot flow .
