Hey mate.....
The poles can't be separated because they don't exist :- There are only closed magnetic field lines and the magnet's material that has dipoles which are tiny magnets with the same field rules as above but they don't have separate poles either - just microscopic spins or electric currents.

pole of magnet cannot be spread into two part because it is a property of the magnet to attract or repeil the magnetic substance or magnet the another property of magnet is the magnetic field line passes from north pole to south pole outside and South pole to North pole inside so when magnet split in to two part it regain its properties.
