Answer:

when the food we taken in gets digested forms glucose and it is transported to every cell in our body . when we inhale oxygen this gets diffused into the blood . oxygen when combines with haemoglobin that is the red pigment present in the blood, forming oxygenated blood . this oxygenated blood is then transported in the whole body through Aorta which is the largest artery in our body . this glucose is transported to the cells where this oxygen and food combines in cytoplasm forming pyruate acid which is C3 compound then if there is oxygen the oxygen + pyruate acid gives ATP by the process aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration .

there oxygen is needed for proper functioning of all body parts and assimilation of food taken inside our body
