why cannot you see your surrounding clearly as you enter the darkened Cinema Hall?

it is because light helps us to see.it will be reflected by the object and it will enter our eyes and image is formed in retina.in dark the light is not there if there very slightly then small amount of light enters our eyes due to lack of light not clear image is formed in retina.

1. The less the distance between the screen in a cinema hall and the person watching the movie, the more is the intensity of light falling on the eye.
2. This results in great contraction of the pupil of the eye causing a strain.
Hence, you cannot see your surroundings clearly as you enter the darkened cinema hall.
