Why cant humans digest cellulose??

Humans cannot digest cellulose because they do not have the necessary enzymes for digesting it.Cows are ruminants i.e. they have rumen which is a big fermentation vat. Humans also do not have the symbiotic bacteria to perform digestion of cellulose.

Cellulose is a carbohydrate which is digested in caecum,it is not in humans.So,human being can't digest cellulose.
