because light need some medium to travel

Anchal5860: air has more medium tham vaccum
sauveerdixit: do you mean that light travels faster in air than in vacuum?
epic86: no ,according to me , light should travel faster in vacuum
Anchal5860: now i don't know
epic86: then search
Anchal5860: yaaaa
vinay0123: it is because the refractive or reflective index is high in air
Anchal5860: yaa it should be the reason
sauveerdixit: yes it's speed in vacuum is 299792458 m/s whereas in air it less.
vinay0123: u got that buddy

Because vacuum is nothing but free space so there is no obstacle present in it to stop the light.
In air there are many particles that stops them to reach destiny quickly.

epic86: then it should travel faster
vinay0123: if I helped it mark as brainliest
