Why cant we use methylene for staining plant cells?

In case of cheek cells Methyleneblue is used for staining as it canstain dead cells. So mainly usedfor staining animal cell. AndMethylene blue have the affinity for DNA and RNA and will produce a darker stain in areas where these components are present so the nucleus is clearly seen in the light microscope.

Methylene blue shows the affect on RNA amd DNA.It is used in case of dead cells only.

•It used to stain the cheek cells.

•Hence we cannot use methylene to stain plant cells.
