Why capacitor used in single phase induction motor not in three phase

Explanation:

To start AC motor require rotating magnetic field. Three phase AC supply generate magnetic field but single phase induction can not do it. So using capacitor one additional phase is created for this because capacitor produce phase shift. This phase is just to give initial momentum to the motor.
