why carbohydrates ate not digested in stomach???

carbohydrate digestion start in mouth with the help of chewing and salivary amylase in combination of mechanical and chemical action. while the process take place in small intestine. Because amylase enzyme does not work in stomach due to acidic conditions. That's why stomach cannot digest carbohydrate.

Carbohydrates are not digested in stomach because as we all know , carbohydrates are compounds of carbon, hydrogen and oxigen.
