why carbon can form c4+ ions easily rather than c4-

the tendency of losing or gaining of four electrons in carbon atom is known as catination. now here the carbon bond is more stable when it loses electrons than when it gains electrons because the force of attraction of outermost Electron by the nucleus will be more.
so it forms c4+ ions easily than c4- ions.
