Why carbon cannot be used to reduce the oxides of highly reactive metals?​

Answer:

The oxides of highly reactive metals are very stable and cannot be reduced by the carbon. Because metals have more affinity towards Oxygen than carbon. So, carbon is unable to remove Oxygen the highly reactive metals oxide and convert them into free metals
