Why carbon disulfide is a liquid at room temperature?

Because it has the boiling point 46 deg C higher than room temperature.

This higher bpt compare to similar structure CO2 is due to

higher molecular mass of CS2 and increased no of electons in S atom that increases inter molecular forces.
