Hi friend here is your answer

_____________________________

Carbon is the only element that can form so many different compounds carbon can form four chemical bonds
to other atoms, and because the carbon atom is just the right, small size to fit in comfortably as parts of very large molecules.

There are many allotropes of carbon some of them are

1)Diamond (Hardest substance)

Diamond is the best allotrope of carbon The use of diamonds is in cutting, drilling, grinding and polishing. The carbon atoms in diamond are covalently bonded

2) Graphite (brittle)

Graphite is the electric conductor and it is mainly used as lead (pencils) or as an electrode

3) Amorphous carbon

4)Carbon Nanoform
