why carbon is tetravalent in nature or form tetravalent compound

since the valency of carbon is 4 ao it is called a tetravalent.
It has the unique ability to react with itself to form along chain of carbon compounda and since it valency is 4 it forms tetravalent compound in nature

Carbon is tetravalent because it has four valence electrons.In order to achieve noble gas configuration carbon shares these electron with four atoms of hydrogen.
