because it has 4 electrons in its outermost shell therefore it shows tetravalency by which it can make Bond with other 4 carbon or other elements

A carbon atom complete its octet only by sharing it's valence electrons with other atoms. As a result, a carbon atom forms four covalent bonds by sharing valence electrons with other atoms. This is known as tetravalency of carbon (“ tetra means four”).
