Why carnivores plants use insects as food?

They are often called insectivorous plants, because they usually trapinsects. Since they get some of theirfood from animals, carnivorous plantscan grow in places where the soil is thin, or poor in nutrients. This is true for soils with little nitrogen, such as acidic bogs and rock outcrops.

because they have not power to absorb minerels. That is why they use insects as food.
