Because Negative Charger electrode in electrolysis is know as cathode And also.

Positive Charger Ions are cations ..

so it is move towards the cathode

Cations are the positive charged particles and cathode are the negative .

so cations being the negative and cathode being positive . the cations are attracted towards cathode .
