ANSWER :

We know that all the living organisms present on our planet Earth are made up of cells. Each and every living cell has the capacity to perform particular functions that are the characteristics of all living forms. A cell is able to live and perform all its functions because of its organelles present inside them. These organelles together constitute the basic unit of structure as well as function namely known as cell.

Thus, cell is known as the basic unit of life.

All living organisms present on earth are made up of cells. Each cell has the capacity to perform certain basic functions. Each cell has got certain specific components within it which are known as cell organelles. These cell organelles perform special functions. Cells are able to perform various functions because of these organelles. As we know, these organelles together constitute the basic unit of life, i.e. cell. Hence, cell is called the basic unit of life.
