Your answer :

The effects of abolition of censorship in France in 1789 :

1. The people gained the freedom of speech and expression as a 'natural and inalienable' right.

2. The ideas of philosophers were discussed intensively in salons and coffee houses and spread among

people through books and newspapers.

3. Newspapers, pamphlets, books and printed pictures flooded the towns and spread rapidly to the countryside.

4. Freedom of press implied that opposing views of events could be expressed.

5. There were plays, songs and festive processions which attracted large number of illiterate people. They helped them to grasp and identify with ideas like liberty or justice about which the political philosophers wrote.

Hope this helps.

Have a nice day =)
