Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), once described as "miracle chemicals," cause the breakdown of the ozone layer that protects the earth from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation. ... Scientists initially believed that CFCs would be harmless in the earth's atmosphere because of their chemical inertness .They are generally unreactive and stable, non-toxic and non-flammable. CFCs are also a part of the group of chemicals known as the volatile organic compounds (VOCs). ... Most CFCs have been released to the atmosphere through the use of aerosols containing them and as leakages from refrigeration equipment.

Hey mate here you go...

CFC's are a pollutant because they damages the ozone layer of the atmosphere which protests us from harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

CFC's are used in aerosal sprays, refridgerators etc.
