why CH3 is more electronegative than C ?

in CH3 there is an electron left so it is negatively charged. C have 4 electrons in the last shell so it can either lose or gain 4. gaining or losing 4 electrons is much difficult then gaining one electron. so CH3 is more electronegative than C because it easily gain an electron.
