Why charged free electron change their direction in a wire in series connection

Just like water flow from a higher height to lower place by gravity[Force], Current will flow from Higher potential point to lower potential point.

The current flow direction is opposite to electron Flow. Hence electron must flow from -ve potential point to +ve potential point.
