Why children's are only study for marks but not for knowledge

because of the pressure on them by their parents, teachers and their competitors. they are made to mug up the things to get good marks

Because of parents because parent's only see marks in PTM not the knowledge. Parents want high marks to show their neighbors only. If a child study only few hours parents scold him u studied very less time and didn't ask that what u studied in that hours. If parents can remove these children should also corporate with parents
