The most precious thing on earth what the parents have. There can hardly be any thing else which is more dear to the parents other then their own children . Love , care , kindness . Name it any feelings , efforts , concern , money , property . The meaning of your life sorrounds with , by and of your children . What else can be more precious then the existence and presence other then your own children ..I am sure no mother or father will dare or have+the courage to say I am more inclined to care for any thing else other then my own children .
Being a mother my self I can declare this . Have looked after and will look after , loved , sacrificed all and will try to keep it doing as long as I am alive for my children . It is a universal sense and immense feelings from a mother for her children . May be not a favour . Every mother will demonstrate such feelings for her children . It seems an odd question asking the parents why their children are precious to them . The question should rather be What else can be more precious for parents other then their children .
I know my responsibilities towards them . I have always tried to put in every effort in their upbringing . With every possible way . Since they were born and even now that they are big and grown ups . I know i have to put my emotional , physical endeavour for no one else. Other then my children . These are not mere words but in actual form at least I did what ever was possible for me to put in . Tried to care for their needs and necessities .All my prayers and wishes are meant for their well being since they are the only precious thing for me . I cannot run away from this feeling which sticks in my mind .
After having read the other answers I realised i cannot thrust only my emotional bondage with my children . There are examples of parents who have different attachment and responsibility towards their children . They can have other priorities and do not consider them them being so precious . It is common in West they will give their earnings , properties to a Charity especially when they die. They make their Will as such . Even when they are alive they have limitations concerning their children . In some countries they expect the Children to leave them and the house once they age to that level . Where they want the child to attain that sense of responsibility . While in our society even if we have stern relations with our children . Very rarely we make some one else our next of kin. We cannot dare to think to be taking any such action. The parents will keep on sacrificing for the sake of children . Many cases expecting with No return .
