why China cannot be called a democratic country?

China is not called democratic country because
1 in China,election is regularly held after five years for electing the country parliament called quanguo renmin dabiao dahui(the national people Congress).
2.the national people Congress has the power to appoint the president of the country.
3.but only those who are members of Chinese Communist party or eight smaller parties allied to it were allowed to contest election.
4.the government is always formed by a communist party.
so,we can say that China is not a democratic country.
