Why China cannot be called a democratic country? Justify with revelent points?

China cannot be called a democratic country as it follows the one party system which restricts the right to choose and many other rights.

one reason is that you dont have direct election in china.you have nested election loops where the local people elect the local people reps then,the local reps elect the next level provincial reps, then the proivincial elect their congressional reps, then the congressional reps elect the managing team a.k.a. the politburo .the top one get the president ,and the second vote getter gets to prime minister, and third and forth vote getter gets to be cabinet member.
