During 1912–1949, Qing Dynasty had been collapsed, the ensuing Chinese government inherited the unequal agreements and treaties which WESTERN POWERFUL COUNTRIES COMPELLED Qing Dynasty to sign . So the real China’s stuation was not changed.

Till 1949, The new rising PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ,ABOLISHED AND TERMINATED ALL UNEQUAL AGREEMENTS its predecessors had signed with Other countries.

SO, in Chinese history ,Chinese called the period during 1842–1949 as semi-feudal and semi-colony.

During 1842–1911, late period of Qing Dynasty, although China is an independent country ruled by Royal family nominally, some small parts of its territory was rented,controlled and managed by Western countries such as UK ,FRANCE,GERMANY etc, the Chinese Royal family lose actual control on custom , economy, port etc.The relationship between China and western powerful country is not equal and fair. Western powerful countries such as UK use military force to compel China to compromise a lot on sovereignty and business interest.
