Why chloride can be converted to chloride ion more easily as compared to flouride ion?

Answer : We know that electronegativity of F is more than Cl but formation of chloride ion is easier than fluoride ion, this is because of very small size of flourine with 7 valence electrons repel the incoming e but in chlorine incoming of e is easier as there is less electronic repulsion.
