why chloro acetic is more acidic than acetic acid?

The inductive electron withdrawal by chlorine is larger thanthat of bromine because chlorine ismore electronegative than bromine. Therefore, electron density is pulled away from the O—H group, and theacidity of chloroacetic acid is greaterthan the acidity of bromoacetic acid

Chloroacetic acid is more acidic because of the electron withdrawing group present in it(-Cl) as chlorine is electronegative in nature
