Why chromosmes arecalled herdity vehicles

Chromosomes are called heredity vehicles  because they are inherited to the offspring from their parents and to their offspring from them.
The transfer of character from parents to offspring carry by chromosomes.

Chromosomes enclose with the number of the genes so it carries along with the heredity characteristic from the respective parents to the child. Hence it is called as the heredity vehicles. With the support of the genes, they transfer character of a parent to the respective offspring...
